What is the difference between 4×4, 6×4 and 6×6 fuel trucks?

A 4×4 drives both axles, a 6×4 drives two of its three axles, and a 6×6 drives all three axles. Compare the drivetrain with your access route, ground conditions and gradients, then check tank capacity, vehicle dimensions and dispensing equipment against the job.

What tank capacity do I need for site refuelling?

Estimate how much diesel your equipment uses between planned refills, including the travel time to your fuel supply point. Then compare that volume with the available tank capacities and the access requirements at each refuelling location. CST Hire can help you discuss the options for your project.

Which fuel truck has an AdBlue tank and compressor?

The 6×4 Hino 500 sheet lists a separate 300 L AdBlue tank and a 75 CFM compressor. The 5,000 L 4×4 sheet also lists a 75 CFM compressor, but does not list an AdBlue tank.

What should I include when requesting fuel truck hire?

Include the truck configuration, required tank capacity, project location, hire dates, expected diesel use, access conditions, dispensing connections and any site equipment requirements.
